Meredith’s Mission

A registered charity supporting families in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole whose children are facing a cancer diagnosis.

About Meredith’s Mission

Meredith’s Mission is a registered charity dedicated to supporting children and families across BCP who are impacted by childhood cancer.

The charity was inspired by Meredith, affectionately known as the organisation’s “Mini CEO”, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma at just four years old. Despite the challenges of more than two years of chemotherapy, Meredith has continued to face treatment with incredible courage, positivity and resilience, becoming a powerful inspiration behind the charity’s work.

Meredith’s Mission exists to walk alongside families during one of the most difficult experiences imaginable. Through practical help, emotional support and community connection, the charity helps parents and children feel less alone when life becomes overwhelming.

By creating moments of comfort, joy and relief during treatment and recovery, Meredith’s Mission aims to uplift families and ensure they feel supported every step of the way.

What Meredith’s Mission offers:

  • One-to-one music therapy for children during and after treatment
  • Creative activities and play packs for hospital stays
  • Parent support groups and access to counselling or trauma support
  • Wellbeing therapies such as chiropractic, physiotherapy and osteopathy
  • Family activity days and respite opportunities
